The WRV School Counseling Program:
- Provides curriculum guidance for grades 9-12 students in identifying the knowledge and skills needed for success in the work environment, continuing education beyond high school and citizenship in the 21st century.
- Provides inpidual student planning for academic development, exploration of career and college readiness, and support for personal/social needs.
- Provides consultation, referral, and crisis support services.
- Continues to promote and implement activities that focus on meeting the needs of all students.
We work together with parents, students, educators, and community professionals to ensure success in learning and preparation to take on the challenges of responsible adulthood.
Confidentiality Statement
As professional school guidance counselors, we will respect the rights of confidentiality of personal information disclosed during the course of conversation between ourselves and students except in the following cases: If the student presents danger to him or herself, if the student presents danger to others, if the student has been abused by others, if the student needs hospitalization or if required to do so by court order. We are bound by Federal and State law to break confidentiality in the above so mentioned situations and will do so to protect our students and to remain legally and ethically true to the profession.
